AfricanLoft is community portal for the global African and Afrocentric audience. This is a watering-hole for the indigenes, descendants, and friends of Africa worldwide. AfricanLoft is an interactive platform where we celebrate, flaunt, query, and discuss our “connectedness” to the motherland. The blog is run by a dedicated African who calls him self Pick.
You will find here an eclectic array of contents ranging from op-eds to community reports and interviews. This is a multi-author, multimedia site with full social networking features.

The Discussion Lounge is where authors and contributors strut, and hawk their stuff in different lounges. Posted articles are comment enabled. Let us know if you like to be one of our contributing authors.
The Community is the social networking piece of AfricanLoft. Upload your media (audio, photo, video) or start a discussion in the forum or blog. And if you feel empowered, you may even start a Group; AfricanLoft offers you that capability.
ChatterBox is a page dedicated to the African and Afrocentric bloggers. It algorithmically groups the top 50 blogs and news feeds into clusters to provide a snapshot of the news-buzz both in the blogosphere and in the mainstream media. It updates every 2-hours.
AfricanLoft TV (ALTV) is aggregated videos on news, music, sports and documentary.

AfricanLoft is loaded with an enormous amount of content. To facilitate easy navigation and you may start browsing at the very top, to view contents by author and region.
You may also use the broad categories listed on the home page, where posts are grouped by subject titles and their recency - the more recent ones are listed higher within their categories.
Each post comes with “tags” for easier location of articles, and a built-in tool that automatically-suggests articles that have related contents.
